Recharges4u is a digital services platform offering mobile & DTH recharge, Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS) bill payments, Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS), domestic money transfer, FASTag, gas booking, insurance premium collection and related services. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users, retailers, distributors and customers ("you") in accordance with applicable Indian laws, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the rules framed thereunder, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, as amended from time to time.

02 Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information to provide and improve our services:

a. Personal & identity information

• Name, date of birth, gender, photograph and signature.
• Contact details such as mobile number, email address and postal address.
• KYC documents and identifiers such as PAN, Aadhaar (in a manner permitted by law), and business registration details for partners.

b. Financial & transaction information

• Wallet balance, transaction history, amounts, beneficiary details and commission records.
• Bank account and payment details used for wallet top-ups and money transfer.
• For AEPS/Micro-ATM, biometric authentication data is processed only through secure, authorised channels and is not stored by us beyond what is legally required for authentication.

c. Technical & usage information

• Device information, IP address, browser type, operating system and unique device identifiers.
• Log data, location information (where permitted), and usage patterns on the Platform.

03 How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account and complete KYC verification.
• Process recharges, bill payments, banking and money-transfer transactions and settle commissions.
• Detect, prevent and investigate fraud, money laundering and other prohibited activities.
• Provide customer support and resolve disputes and complaints.
• Comply with legal, regulatory, audit and reporting obligations.
• Send transactional alerts and, with your consent, service updates and promotional communications.
• Improve, secure and personalise the Platform.

04 Consent & legal basis

We process your information based on your consent, the performance of our contract with you, our legitimate business interests, and to comply with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent for non-essential processing at any time by contacting us, though this may limit your ability to use certain features. Where required, we obtain your explicit consent before processing sensitive personal data.

05 Sharing & disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only as follows:

• Service partners: banks, payment aggregators, NPCI, BBPS billers, telecom and DTH operators, and technology providers, strictly to fulfil your transactions.
• Regulators & authorities: where disclosure is required by law, court order, or a lawful request from government or law-enforcement agencies.
• Professional advisers & auditors: under confidentiality obligations.
• Business transfers: in connection with any merger, acquisition or reorganisation, subject to this Policy.

06 Cookies & tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure the Platform and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect certain features.

07 Data security

We implement reasonable security practices and procedures, including 256-bit encryption of data in transit, access controls, secure data centres and continuous monitoring, to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

08 Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and thereafter for the period required to meet legal, regulatory, tax, accounting and dispute-resolution requirements. When information is no longer required, we securely delete or anonymise it.

09 Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

• Access and obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Withdraw consent or request erasure of your data, subject to legal retention requirements.
• Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.
• Register a grievance regarding the processing of your data.

The Platform may contain links to, or integrations with, third-party websites and services (such as operators, billers and payment gateways). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties, and we encourage you to review their policies.

11 Children's privacy

The Platform is intended for users aged 18 years and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will take steps to delete it.

12 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
